A caravan spends most of its life parked: on the drive, at a storage site or on a pitch. That is usually when it goes, and most caravans have no constant power supply for a wired tracker. Both trackers below run on their own batteries.
Some do, particularly for newer or higher-value tourers, and some give a discount for one. Check your policy wording. If it names a Thatcham category, the Quantum3 meets S7. Motorhomes are different because they have an engine and a battery, so see our motorhome trackers instead.
Neither tracker needs a cable, so it can be hidden well away from the obvious places a thief checks first, while still getting a clear signal. Our engineer picks the spot when fitting the Quantum3 and shows you the app before leaving.
The Quantum3 sends a daily health check with its location, so a tracker that has stopped reporting gets noticed. How long the batteries last depends on how often the caravan moves.
Yes. The Quantum3 sends a location when a trip starts, five minutes in, and when it ends.
Yes, both trackers need one to report. For the Quantum3 it also covers the monitoring that calls you if the caravan moves while armed.
