S5 tracker are now the highest level of Thatcham Insurance approved tracking available – it has two options with or without immobilisation.

With Immobilisation is also known as S5 PLUS and comes with 2 x DRST Tags. You keep the tags separate from your car keys. If one of these tags is not in the car it will not start.

S5 plus trackers can also be immobilised by the monitoring station. You can stop your car starting even if the tags are in the car. If the car was stolen and the tags can also stop the car from re starting

You get an APP for your smartphone so you can monitor the tracker yourself also.

From 1 Jan 2019 CAT 5 trackers were replaced with the new Thatcham category S5 Driver Recognition Tags were always used with Cat 5 and are still used with S5 along with smartphone technology now with multi backup plans if you lost your phone.

DRST – Driver Recognition Tags are standard on most S5 and S5 plus trackers there are a few tracker brands that use smartphones now as tags, the monitoring centre know that if the tags are not in the vehicle that it’s not being driven by an authorised person so will make immediate contact with you via all the contact details they have and if not make a decision to inform the police.

If you have a S5 tracker with immobilisation or a S5 plus tracker if the tags are not in the car it will not start.

Yes we can fit trackers to hybrid or electric vehicles. If you’re looking at a tracker for a hybrid of EV the best bet is to message us or give us a call we are happy to assist.

We work all over the UK and often have availability on a Saturday and Sunday but it cant be guaranteed but we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

All insurance-approved trackers go through to a monitoring station which has a cost to operate, the device also has communication costs so has to be passed on to the end-user the customer. Most start at £9.99 a month via DD.

The Tracker Team finance works really simply.

1. You fill in the online form with your details.
2. We email and text you the link to and make the first payment so if the device is £400 you pay £100.
3. The next three payments are taken from the card you paid on the same day for the next three months.
4. We come and fit the products.

Yes, you can get this direct from the provider of the tracker.
