IMPORTANT NOTICE: This Extended Warranty is provided by Tracker Team Ltd (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”). It is separate from the manufacturer’s warranty provided by Scorpion Automotive Ltd.
This Extended Warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable legislation. Nothing in these terms reduces or limits those rights.
1.1 About This Extended Warranty
These Terms and Conditions set out the basis upon which Tracker Team Ltd provides an optional Extended Warranty for ScorpionTrack and Datatool GPS vehicle tracking products (“the Product”) purchased via Tracker Team Ltd.
The Product is manufactured by Scorpion Automotive Ltd, which provides a separate two (2) year manufacturer’s warranty from the Installation Date.
This Extended Warranty is a separate contractual agreement between the Customer and Tracker Team Ltd and provides additional coverage beyond the manufacturer’s warranty period.
1.2 Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms:
“Customer” means the individual or business that purchases the Extended Warranty.
“Extended Warranty” means the additional warranty coverage purchased under these Terms.
“Installation Date” means the date on which the Product was originally installed in the Customer’s vehicle by an Authorised Installer.
“Authorised Installer” means Tracker Team Ltd, Scorpion Automotive Ltd, or a third-party installer approved in writing by Tracker Team Ltd.
“Active Subscription” means a current, uninterrupted paid subscription to the applicable tracking service, with no payment arrears exceeding fourteen (14) calendar days.
“Normal Use” means use of the Product in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation guidelines and user documentation in a standard automotive environment.
2.1 Eligibility and Purchase Window
The Extended Warranty may be purchased at any time while the Product remains within the original two (2) year manufacturer’s warranty period.

2.3 Relationship to Manufacturer’s Warranty
The manufacturer’s warranty provided by Scorpion Automotive Ltd applies until its expiry.
Upon expiry of the manufacturer’s warranty, this Extended Warranty takes effect for the selected additional period.
3.1 Active Subscription Requirement
This Extended Warranty is conditional upon the Customer maintaining an Active Subscription throughout the Extended Warranty period.
If the subscription lapses for more than fourteen (14) calendar days, this Extended Warranty will automatically terminate.
The Company will use reasonable efforts to notify the Customer before termination due to non-payment.
3.2 Cooling-Off Period
If the Extended Warranty is purchased online or at a distance, the Customer has the right to cancel within fourteen (14) calendar days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
If cancelled within this period and no claim has been made, a full refund will be issued within fourteen (14) days of cancellation.
4.1 This Extended Warranty is not transferable to another vehicle.
4.2 This Extended Warranty is not transferable to a new owner of the vehicle.
4.3 If ownership of the vehicle changes, the Extended Warranty terminates on the date of transfer.
4.4 At the Company’s discretion, a pro-rata refund may be issued for the unused portion of the Extended Warranty, subject to a £10 administration fee.
5.1 What Is Covered
Tracker Team Ltd warrants that the Product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under Normal Use during the Extended Warranty period.
5.2 Remedy
If a defect arises during the Extended Warranty period, the Company may, at its sole discretion:
Any repaired or replacement Product will carry the remainder of the original Extended Warranty period only.
5.3 Duration
The total warranty period (including the manufacturer’s warranty) runs from the Installation Date:
5.4 Claims Limit
There is no limit on the number of claims that may be made during the Extended Warranty period.
However, the Company’s total cumulative liability under this Extended Warranty shall not exceed the original retail price paid for the Product (excluding the cost of this Extended Warranty).
This limitation applies only to this Extended Warranty and does not limit statutory rights.
6.1 Making a Claim
To make a claim, the Customer must provide:
Warranty administration and technical support services may be delivered in coordination with Scorpion Automotive Ltd.
6.2 Pre-Authorisation
A refundable pre-authorisation of £90 + VAT (£108 including VAT) will be required before dispatching an engineer. This is a temporary hold and not an immediate charge.
If the Product is found to be faulty and covered by this Extended Warranty, the pre-authorisation will be released and no charge will be taken.
If the fault is not covered, the Customer will be informed and may authorise the charge to cover the engineer visit.
6.3 Geographic Coverage
Warranty service is available within mainland United Kingdom (England, Scotland and Wales only).
Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, Scottish islands, and offshore territories are excluded unless alternative arrangements are agreed at the Company’s discretion.
This Extended Warranty does not cover:
The Company shall not be liable for delay or failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, pandemic, government restrictions, supply chain disruption, industrial action, or third-party telecommunications failure.
9.1 The Company’s liability under this Extended Warranty is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the Extended Warranty purchase price.
9.2 To the extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of use, data, or profits.
9.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
The Company will process personal data necessary to administer this Extended Warranty in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Where required for technical support, claim administration, or engineer dispatch, relevant information may be shared with Scorpion Automotive Ltd.

The Company may modify these Terms due to changes in legislation, regulatory requirements, or service changes.
If changes reduce the scope of coverage for existing Extended Warranty holders, at least thirty (30) days’ written notice will be provided.
Customers may reject such changes and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused portion of the Extended Warranty.
This Extended Warranty is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
A failure to enforce any right shall not constitute a waiver of that right.
This Extended Warranty does not confer rights on any third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

YOUR OBLIGATIONS
You shall contact the Provider separately to set up any Subscriptions for the services they offer to ensure your vehicle is monitored with your new tracking device. We are not responsible for tracking your vehicle once the tracker has been installed to your vehicle or for any costs of Subscriptions for this service.
You shall cooperate with us in all matters relating to the installation of the device.
You shall only permit our authorized personnel to carry out any installation or modification work on the Equipment. Any unauthorized work may result in the manufacturers warranty and our warranty becoming void.
You shall not remove the Equipment from the vehicle.
